ABSTRACT
Nowadays the term Structural Survey is falling into disuse despite the fact that it is still fairly common for members of the public to ask for one. I know from recent discussions/correspondence with the Chartered Institute of Building, that, in keeping with a decision taken jointly with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, they are now encouraging their members to use the term Building Survey.
