ABSTRACT

Psychodrama takes place at real times, with sessions repeated at regular intervals, just like individual therapy sessions. Usually the sessions are weekly and last two hours. The time evoked and experienced in psychodrama can be said to belong to three different dimensions and can be seen from three different perspectives. The first is the dimension of the ‘here and now’ – that is, the moment experienced during the course of the sessions. The second is that of the ‘there and then’ – that is, the dimension of the memory which lives again by being evoked. The third is the timeless dimension of dream. These three different perspectives or dimensions crisscross each other continually, so to say. They blend together and then stand out singly to express their characteristics during the course of the sessions.
