ABSTRACT
Following an extensive review of the published research on SBS it seems that there is a concentration on the more tangible causes of the problem, such as indoor air quality (IAQ) and other pollutants; these tend to be the main areas of investigation. On the back of this maintenance and cleaning companies are creating a lot of business from changing and/or cleaning the air systems and interiors of organizations. These studies and companies are not always successful in either diagnosing the cause or eradicating the problem of SBS.
