ABSTRACT
It is widely argued that ‘differentiation’ has a central part to play in achieving equal opportunities for all children within the common framework of the National Curriculum. But what exactly is meant by ‘equal opportunities’ and what is the link between school policies on differentiation and the broader work that needs to be undertaken in order to foster equal opportunities for all?
