‘Anniversary conference: Mary Wollstonecraft in Sweden 1795-1995’ Uddevalla, Sweden, 2-6 September 1995
Call for papers and/or preliminary registration. This international conference is to commemorate the 200th anniversary of
Mary Wollstonecraft’s journey to Scandinavia in 1795 later immortalized in her Letters. Our aim is to bring together scholars from different disciplines who are working in fields related to Woll-stonecraft’s main concerns understood in a broad sense. Conference strands are: 1. Romanticism and Gender; 2. Feminist Thought; 3. Revolution: Women and Gender; 4. Travel Writing. We would also welcome suggestions for panels (two to three papers, a chair and a commentator).
