ABSTRACT
Introduction The industrial, scientific and technological revolutions of the twentieth century have produced a wide range of impacts on a global scale. Collectively, these are seen by some as threatening the state. Why this is so will be explained after a brief exploration of some of the key forms which global interfusion in these fields has taken.
