The Role of Personal Development Plans and Learning Contracts in Self-Directed Student Learning

Hull School of Architecture has piloted a personal development plan (PDP) process to provide the means for better informing student choice on the Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Architectural Practice, which covers the two years of practical training on its professionally accredited architecture programme. The PDP process has now been extended to other courses in the university to guide student choice and foster independent learning.
