Yet again it is the married women who mainly think of rest: 3S per cent of the things they mention involve relaxation; a similar percentage distinctly express the wish to get away from the Worktown environment and daily routine:

By far the greatest number of Worktowners who go to any resort go to Blackpool. There are, however, a very large number of alternative places offered by the railway companies, charabanc firms, hotel and camp advertisers in the Worktown press. In view of the widely expressed desire to go to less crowded places, why do 69 per cent actually go there? To a great extent it is a matter of money.
