ABSTRACT
Thxis description investigates the extent to which Lombard dialects can be considered a linguistically homogeneous group; the term ‘Lombard dialects’ includes those spoken in Switzerland (Canton Ticino and the Italian Grigioni), in the Piedmontese province of Novara between the Sesia and the Ticino rivers, and in W. Trentino.
