ABSTRACT
Near the end of Lover Come Back (1961) there's a scene where Rock Hudson goes into his apartment block wearing only a woman's fur coat (Figure 11. 2). Throughout the film he's been observed by two older men and every time they've seen him it's been in some situation where it's looked like he was pursuing or being pursued by every attractive woman around. When the two men see him in the fur coat one turns to the other and says, ‘Well – he's the last guy in the world I would have figured.’
