ABSTRACT

Kristina Hill is Associate Professor at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she teaches landscape architecture and urban design with an emphasis on ecological functions. She co-edited Ecology and Design: Frameworks for Learning with Bart Johnson (2002) and taught urban design at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before moving to Seattle. She currently chairs the design and construction committee of the Seattle Monorail Project Board of Directors, and she is at work on a book about landscape urbanism in the Pacific Northwest.
