ABSTRACT
Released in late 2008, Bejeweled Twist is a standout entry in the now-classic puzzle game series created by PopCap Games, headquartered in Seattle, Washington. The original Bejeweledwas first published as a browser-based game entitled Diamond Mine in 2001. Renamed Bejeweled shortly after its release, the game quickly became the flagship franchise among PopCap’s offerings and has gone on to be one of the best-selling and most recognizable video game brands of all time. Over 50 million units have been purchased across the franchise. The game’s core three-in-arow mechanic has allowed Bejeweled, its sequels, and the inevitable legion of knock-offs to essentially define an entire genre of casual games.
