Lab Processing A variety of choices are available for getting your film developed. Black-and-white film can be processed at home by hand, or at a lab, while color-negative (C-41) and transparency (E-6) films require lab processing. As mentioned in Chapter 5, Ilford XP2 and Kodak BW400CN are black-andwhite monochromatic films that are processed in standard lab C-41 chemicals, which make these films
a good choice when black-and-white processing isn ’ t available. Not all labs are set up to process 120 film, so call around first. If you can ’ t get your film run locally, there are several mail-order options.
