ABSTRACT

Invisible buttons, also known as hotspots, enable you to add interactivity to a static image. A typical scenario for the use of invisible buttons might be a map where you’d like to have additional information pop up when the user mouses over a particular part of the image. Invisible buttons are also ideal for setting up tooltips that pop up to provide clarification or additional information. For situations that don’t lend themselves to the use of traditional buttons, laying an invisible hotspot over existing content can provide an elegant means to add interactivity.
