ABSTRACT

Multi-state objects lend themselves to slide show creation, but they can be employed for so much more. With a multi-state object, you can essentially package multiple pages into one object that can then be placed on any page of any document. You can create buttons to navigate to specific states, or move backward and forward through the previous and next object states. The only downside of multi-state objects is that they only work when exported to SWF. If you export a document that contains a multi-state object to PDF, only the state that was active at export appears on the page, and the buttons that navigate through the states don’t function. In other words, multistate objects are a SWF-only option-but what an option they are.
