ABSTRACT
With the exception of handheld applications, microphones are rarely used without accessories
of one kind or another. Most accessories are used in mounting the microphone in a stable
configuration, ranging from desk stands and flush mounts to large microphone stands or booms.
Hanging mounts are often used where stands are not appropriate. Under conditions of wind or
