IN THE LAST FOUR CHAPTERS, we covered the creation of bui lding elements such as wal ls, windows, doors, and roofs. This chapter begins a four chapter series discussing the creation of objects that can be general ly classif ied as site elements, such as roads, sidewalks, curbs, backgrounds, and vegetation. In this 1st chapter, we’l l look closely at some of the best techniques for creating 2D sites, and in the next chapter we’l l use many of the same tools and numerous others to create 3D sites. The remaining two chapters deal with the chal lenges of creating real ist ic backgrounds and vegetation.
