FEW OTHER SCENE COMPONENTS ARE as simple to create and yet so often compromised as are backgrounds. Often consuming more than half of the area of a visual ization, backgrounds are as crit ical as any other scene component and deserve as much care and attention as any other area of scene creation. Although backgrounds are a relatively simple element to add to a scene, they can just as easi ly be a source of frustration and problems for 3ds Max users.
