ABSTRACT

If you want something to look like brass and you build it out of brass, then your work is done. But in prop making, we are frequently making objects out of one material and want them to look like another. Even when we make it out of a material that it is meant to be made out of, we still may wish to alter and vary the color; for our brass object, we may wish to weather and age it. If we make a wood object, we may wish it to be a bit darker or maybe redder.
