ABSTRACT
OpenFX is an open standard that allows plug-ins to be compatible with any host software that supports the standard. Production Assistant is a plug-in for Sony Vegas Pro that was developed by the people at VASST. It is an automation tool that does exactly as its name implies: It assists in speeding up common production tasks and automates most of them. Instant ducking of audio, placement of lower thirds, color processing, and more can be controlled through the Production Assistant application. Boris RED is a high-end 2D/3D compositing tool that combines effects, titling, rotoscoping, and other aspects of 3D creation and animation. Sapphire Edge is a relatively low-cost plug-in for Vegas Pro and Vegas Movie Studio that provides not only great looks and effects but also unique transitions that stem from the very high-end Sapphire product. NewBlueFX offers several plug-in tools for Sony Vegas Pro and Vegas Movie Studio.
