ABSTRACT

The human eye has the capacity to assemble slightly different consecutive images that are presented at a fast enough rate and interpret them as continuous movement. This phenomenon, called persistence of vision, allows motion graphic designers to convey their messages and move their audiences by means of frame-by-frame animation, interpolation, and compositing. The unusual creative possibilities that exist in merging diverse types of content are pushing the limits of artistic experimentation and expression.
