ABSTRACT
A short introduction is given of Tagore and Einstein and what they stood for, as well as Tagore’s reception in Europe in the 1920s, their famous 1930 conversation on the nature of reality, which keeps intriguing scholars even to this day. Some aspects of the conversation are mentioned which do not enter directly in the chapters that follow. A background to this volume is given as well as brief summaries of each chapter.
