ABSTRACT
Some of the most successful organizations in the world combine constancy of purpose with an in-built drive to continuously improve. One organization that continues to drive constancy of purpose in every area of the business is Ozgene Pty Ltd. On their Lean journey, Ozgene brings their constancy of purpose to life every day with their customers. As W. Edwards Deming said: Create constancy of purpose toward improvement of product and service, with the aim to become competitive and to stay in business, and to provide jobs. One essential element to achieving constancy of purpose across the organization is Standardized Daily Management. This is the concept of having some level of detailed work description for how to do daily work, applying at all levels of the organization. At a leadership and management level, it is often referred to as “Leader Standard Work.”
