ABSTRACT

The bottom line difference between public and private clouds comes down to that extra layer on the public cloud to handle the inherent multitenancy attributes that allow public cloud vendors to leverage their cloud infrastructure investments into profit. The templates, automation, and other tools available with hybrid clouds allow information technology (IT) staff to be more hands off. The software-defined networking interface, in one form or another, will serve as the link between private clouds and on-premises systems to the pubic cloud, whether it is for load balancing or as a DMZ-like system, as IT professionals make their way to federation. The feature leading commercial customers in their charge to public cloud is load balancing or surge capacity. The executive suites in America have been frightened out of their minds by sweeping seizures and horror stories about losing the right to privacy in the public cloud.
