ABSTRACT

Big numbers of supporters can dwindle quickly based on actions that may seem significant but peck away at loyalty. Every Batman has a Robin. Every Don Quixote has a Sancho Panza. Every leader needs that special person who is loyal, helpful, and trustworthy. Disloyalty can mean being an anonymous source to the press, it could mean a lack of respect, it could mean constant second-guessing, it could mean implementing a plan, or it could mean just inactivity with passive aggressive flavors. Threats with adjectives and exclamation points, like Trump issues, can be effective because no one is sure if they are real or empty threats. The Trump administration has spun through several turnovers for better or worse.
