ABSTRACT
Though the flatworms are hermaphrodites, sporadic incidence of gonochorism is strewn all over the three major classes. In some of them, sex specific genes Smed-dmd-1 or macbol has been identified. Sexes are differentiated by neuropeptides and dipeptides. The parasitic worms are capable of endocrine disruption in the host.
