Practice of Gathering Requirements with Focus Group in China

This paper briefly introduced the role of focus groups in the product usability design process. Based on the basic steps of focus group, the differences of recruiting participants in China and in western countries are compared, and the reasons are also analyzed. Lastly the behaviors of typical users in different cities are summarized, and our experiences and methods are also presented in order to share with those would implement focus groups in the usability research in China.
