Decoding a TV Remote Control
"OK," I said, "let's hit it." Marvin Green and I trooped upstairs to my workroom, two Men on a Mission. We intended to do some serious robot hacking that night, and it was time to get started. We had selected a non-trivial project. Months ago, I had bought several TV IR remote controls for 99 cents each at a local surplus shop. Tonight, Marvin and I were determined to deduce the coding scheme used by the controls, then use the handhelds to control Max, my newest robot.
