ABSTRACT

This chapter begins with a presentation meeting by acknowledging the importance of sharing the results together and working towards a common understanding of the strengths and issues. Writing the report is an important professional responsibility. Sometimes, graduate students who are becoming educational therapist will become enamored of the assessment process. This assessment process is generally comfortable and agreeable. In addition, each student has the full attention of a kind adult which is also usually enjoyable. For example, after conducting a reading assessment, all the assessment related to decoding skills might be in purple; reading fluency might be marked in green, while those that measure reading accuracy in blue and scores measuring reading comprehension might be in black. Through the whole assessment process comes acknowledgment that the student is struggling. But, there is a shared understanding for why.
