ABSTRACT
As mentioned in Chapter 1, there are a great many different aspects to product warranty. These have been studied by researchers from different disciplines with quite limited interaction between disciplines. As a result, the literature on product warranty is not only vast but disjointed. A proper study of the warranty process requires a suitable framework in order to incorporate and integrate the different aspects into a coherent whole.
