ABSTRACT

The nucleate boiling heat transfer mechanisms play the basic role in the flow boiling at the wide range of controllig parameters. The paper presents the mechanistic model of the fully developed nucleate boiling which accounts for the two main ways of the heat removal from the wall. The predictive correlation obtained on the base of the model is found to be in good agreement with numerous experimental data for both pool and flow boiling. At the relatively high flow velocities the simple interpolation correlations are recommended for the flow boiling heat transfer computations.
