ABSTRACT

Many owners of micro and small to medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) have problems due to lack of knowledge and competence in business as well as attitudes in running a business in a certain business environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of entrepreneurial competency on business success and business environment as a moderating effect on the relationship between entrepreneurial competency and business success in MSMEs organized by the Cooperatives and MSMEs Office in Bandung. The structural equation modeling (SEM-PLS) procedure was used to test the proposed model. The results showed that entrepreneurial competencies influence business success and business environment does not have a significant moderating influence on the relationship between entrepreneurial competency and business success in MSMEs organized by the Cooperatives and MSMEs Office in Bandung.
