ABSTRACT

Virtual Reality (VR) is an emerging technology which has been widely used by many sectors such as education and entertainment. Online shopping or e-commerce platforms are one of the potential sectors to adopt virtual reality to convince more shoppers to purchase online. However, there is no research or framework which investigate how e-commerce can adopt virtual reality based on competitive analyses in related area. This research develops a conceptual framework to predict virtual reality adoption on e-commerce platforms using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Porter Five Forces. This paper is the beginning stage of the research and initial review on literature has been conducted. Research problems and objectives have been identified as well as conceptual framework and hypotheses have been developed. Research methodology has been constructed and conclusion which include contribution and limitations are presented in this research.
