ABSTRACT

Restaurants as a public space are the most popular choices for urban residents today because restaurants are not only places to enjoy food but also a gathering place, with family, friends, and colleagues, and some restaurants are even tourist destinations. The attractions of Sudanese restaurants are the atmosphere and values of Sundanese culture, through interior elements both physically and non-physically. Sundanese cultural values do not always appear as an architectural statement or expression but appear in the form of aesthetic values. The research method used is a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to obtain measurable data, while data collection is through questionnaires and focus group discussion (FGD). The results of the study are expected to give guidance and review/evaluate the implementation of aesthetic elements and Sundanese cultural values in the context of Sundanese culture education and preservation both for designers and the general public.
