ABSTRACT
Chapter 5 explores the three phases of the myth of Prometheus in order to examine the conditions of regression, renouncement, and emptying which make “WOMAN” the heir of the primitive father and endow her with both sexes at the same time, thereby enabling her to consent to the anal sexuality induced by the sexual excess. This adds a new dimension to the approach to the anal complex in the clinical cases studied.
