ABSTRACT

Mark read the books he had purchased on Lean Manufacturing, and according to him, it was a real eye-opener. He learned all about the various types of waste that existed in virtually all processes. He learned that Lean manufacturing is a whole-systems approach that focuses on identifying and eliminating non-value-added activities within a process. He also learned that Lean attempts to involve everyone in the organization in the quest to eliminate any and all forms of waste everywhere in the process.
