ABSTRACT
The land mammals’ interactions with man are in general much like those of the birds; some have been harrassed to near or total extinction, some have taken advantage of an environment altered by man and have flourished exceedingly, some have become vermin and pests, and others carry diseases which can be transmitted to man or his domestic animals sometimes with fatal results.
