ABSTRACT
You’ve probably read many recent headlines about spectacular advances in information technology. It seems as if breakthroughs–especially those that facilitate the electronic delivery of documents–are being announced every day. But before we explore the recent advances, let’s consider a spectacular document delivery experiment that took place a few years ago. It involved visionary people, a rapid transmission system, and the ability to receive a great variety of information. It also involved horses.
