ABSTRACT

This two-part study is based upon serials cataloguing data collected during a three-month period at the University of Oklahoma Libraries. In the first part, serials for which records were available in the OCLC data base are compared with serials which had to be input locally. The second part examines more closely those records which were found to be already in the data base. LC records are compared with non-LC records to see whether there is any significant difference in acceptability. The acceptability of individual fields is considered.
