Automated Serials Acquisitions in the Washington Library Network

This article discusses automated serials acquisitions in the Washington Library Network. The general features of WLN’s Acquisitions Subsystem are first presented, followed by a more specific analysis of the Subsystem’s serials features. The implementation of the Subsystem by the Washington State Library’s Serials Section is then reviewed, with particular attention to the issues, problems, and solutions of the first few months of automation.
