ABSTRACT

The Serials Librarian begins its tenth year, and this is enough to make us want to look back to see what the past ten years have held for serials people and the craft they practice. There may not have been any moon shots—the closest to one was the instituting in some lucky places of online check in and claiming—but it is nevertheless clear that serials librarianship has been changed in ways not foreseen at the start of the decade. Serials librarianship, if not transmuted, will not be the same again.
