Out of the Shoebox and Into the Computer: Serials Indexing 1975-1985

Over the last ten years, serials indexing has greatly changed in terms of production, formats and products, coverage, and producers and users. Computers and the growth of science have led to these changes. Serials librarians will have much influence on the evolution of serials indexing because they are part of the user environments in which serials indexes must survive.
