ABSTRACT
Students are increasingly filling crucial roles in the smaller undergraduate college library, a convenient on-campus setting for work-study assignments. The one-on-one training pattern predominates and is effective at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, an institution where education in the singular is stressed. The various departments detail modes of interaction between supervisor/ student staff member. Shortcomings as well as strengths are acknowledged.
