ABSTRACT

It started with anonymous feedback. A question from a session I gave at the Georgia Safety, Health and Environmental Conference in Savannah five years ago. “How do I get my employees to do what I want them to do?” That simple question from someone I will never know, prompted me to reflect on my work career and evaluate my activities, my successes and failures. One thought I came back to more than a few times was, if I was starting over today as an operations supervisor or safety professional, what would I do differently?
