ABSTRACT
The extensive list of music journals published in the last century reflects the many facets of music as a discipline. These journals cover topics on musicology, music theory, ethnomusicology, music education, music therapy, popular music and jazz, music librarianship and bibliography, and performance. Some music journals cross subject boundaries or combine musical with non-musical topics. The international repertory of music journals documents musical life, music scholarship, and the state of music publishing.
