ABSTRACT
Chapter 18 covers how stations build and operate station websites. In addition, the chapter covers how to write for the web and how to construct web stories – as distinct from broadcast stories. Beyond text and pictures, the chapter discusses data visualization, charts and maps and various ways to construct online news and make them into real multimedia stories.
