ABSTRACT
Recently, Michael Gorman (apparently with tongue partially in cheek) opined that “cooperation is not an activity that libraries may or may not choose to engage in—it is the element in which they live and prosper. Cooperation is as essential to a library as is water to a fish or air to a mammal.” 1
