Library Networking: Statement of a Common Vision

In May, 1987 two of the major regional bibliographic networks—AMIGOS and SOLINET—held a joint conference. A “Statement of a Common Vision” distributed by the Network Advisory Committee was presented to conference participants for discussion by participants. The statement, which follows, was also presented to the three main conference speakers for reaction. Their papers follow this statement.
