ABSTRACT

This chapter outlines the core elements of Aladura theology, a West African branch of African Initiated Christianity. The theology is exemplified in the Church of the Lord (Prayer Fellowship) Worldwide. The church is Pentecostal in power, biblical in pattern, evangelical in mission, prophetic in ministry, social in responsibility and ecumenical in outlook. It provides a culturally relevant form of Christian belief and ecclesial structure to believers in Nigeria and many other countries in West Africa and beyond.
