ABSTRACT

Retaining is the practice of creating a highly engaged workforce that is motivated to remain working for readers organization. Feeling valued by their organization, having meaningful work and understanding the pathway to additional opportunities are consistently cited as the top three reasons employees remain with an organization. A well-crafted retention strategy will support the development of a highly effective team that then attracts other highly effective talent. Tracking readers school and district retention data, measuring working conditions and employing smart retention practices are all strategies that will support them in becoming a strategic talent leader. Retaining one-hundred percent of their highly effective teachers should be the goal of every administrator. But, retaining one-hundred percent of underperforming teachers would only make improving outcomes for students more difficult.
